Contact Me
If you are here to tell me I am awful, congratulations, you can already do that in the comments. If you are here because you have a story, a job, or a secret that is burning a hole in your evening, carry on.
I read my inbox. I do not always reply. Those are two different hobbies.
Who This Is For
Press, podcasts, brands that are not boring, and people who have something better than “hey.”
Also welcome:
- Gossip that can be checked
- Afterparty intel
- A very good anecdote you are too scared to put your name on
- Collabs that involve clothes, hotels, makeup, or taking me out and pretending it is work
- Invites to rooms I should not be in
If your email starts with “I never write to girls like this,” I will assume you do, constantly.
Who This Is Not For
Your situationship. Your PR intern’s intern. Your uncle who has “an idea for a blog.” Men who want me to guess what they look like from a single blurry torso. I will not guess. I am busy.
Do not send me your novel. Do not send me your business plan. Do not send me a voice note at 3am unless the voice note is historically significant. Even then, text first.
How To Write To Me
Short. Specific. Funny if you can manage it. Tell me who you are, what you want, and why I should care before I have finished my coffee. I live in London. I have two flatmates. One of them will read this over my shoulder if you make it interesting enough.
Useful subject lines:
- Work thing, not a trap
- I have gossip and proof
- Come to this party, it will be messy
- Paid, unfortunately
Useless subject lines:
- Hey
- Question
- Important
- You up
If you put “you up” in the subject line I will assume you are not t
alking about a feature interview.
The Actual Details
Email: chels@chelseamunroe.com
Instagram / X / TikTok: use the links page, I am not typing them all out like a tourist information board.
I check emails in the afternoon, unless I am hungover, in which case I check them in the afternoon but with worse judgement. If you have not heard back in a week I either missed it, ignored it, or I am waiting to see if you follow up like a person with a spine.
For press: put your deadline in the first line. I can move fast when the story is good. I move slowly when you want a quote about “the modern dating landscape.” That phrase makes my teeth hurt.
A Quick Warning
If you tell me something off the record, say so at the top. If you do not say so, I will assume it is on the record and that you knew exactly who you were emailing. I am a lot of things. Vague is not one of them.
If you are writing because you recognised yourself in a piece: breathe. Names get changed. Details get kept. That is the deal. If you wanted discretion you should have been worse in bed and better at leaving.
Right. Send it. Make it good. I have lipstick to redo.
